CREATURES from the deep are just some of the colourful objects that visitors will be invited to create at University College Falmouth's newlook community open day - called bigsaturday - on July 2.
Art workshops on a maritime theme, in celebration of SeaBritain 2005, which commemorates the nation's relationship with the sea and Nelson's historic victory at Trafalgar, will provide fun for all ages.
At Tremough tutors Andrew Currie and Ashley Hold will encourage people to create imaginative new inmates for a giant fish tank on the piazza from a variety of materials.
Inspiration will come from underwater images found in maritime magazines, and ready-mades such as Ollie the Octopus.
At Woodlane tutors, Oliver West and Nikki Donovan will be inviting local people to healp create a giant community mural on an exterior wall which will continue the maritime theme.
