Thirty years after classic rock anthem Bohemian Rhapsody took over the charts, Europe's biggest Queen tribute band, Killer Queen, will be bringing A Kind of Magic to the Princess Pavilion this Friday.

And for Scott Maley, aka Freddie Mercury, and his fellow band members there is double cause for celebration as Queen Mania is once again taking Britain by storm.

Scott said: "We are all huge Queen fans who have taken on a role and work hard at it. What we do is very much a rock show, it's very visual, dynamic and extremely authentic." Scott believes that members of a tribute band should have some physical resemblance to those they are impersonating - and fortunately he looks just like Freddie Mercury. The band feel a responsibility to Queen fans to put on the best performance possible.

"Queen left such a legacy - we have to do things right. We take this job very seriously; it's not something that we just play at.

"You can never replace Queen as a band and that is not our intention. Freddie's death left a big hole in the music industry and we are just trying to fill that hole a little bit. All we are doing is paying our little tribute,"

The show starts at 8.30pm. Tickets are £10 in advance and £12 on the door. The box office is on 01326 211222.

* Suzanne Vega, one of the finest singers and storytellers of our time, performs an intimate acoustic concert of new material and classic hits at the Princess Pavilion, Falmouth, on Wednesday, July 6.

Used to playing massive festivals, stadiums and major concert venues, Suzanne requested a return visit to the pavilion after last year's sell out date as she enjoyed being so close and able to communicate with the audience so much.

Today, with a career full of award winning albums and many songs which have become standards, Suzanne Vega continues to record and tour and remains an iconoclastic, tradition-breaking composer.

Supported by Nerina Pellot, it's going to be a very special evening, so don't miss it this time around. The show starts at 8.30pm. Tickets are £17.50 and £20 on the door. The box office is on 01326 211222.
