RESIDENTS from Burlescombe say they are living in hell due to lorries travelling through the village from a nearby quarry.

Lorries travelling out of Bardon Aggregates-owned Westleigh Quarry go through Burlescombe to get on to the main roads, but residents say since planning permission was granted for waste disposal at the quarry last year, lorries have been using the route day and night.

This has infuriated the residents, who say they are no longer able to enjoy their gardens, and frequently have trouble sleeping at night due to the noise.
