WORK is under way to restore one of Exmoor's best-loved landmark churches to its white painted picture postcard splendour.
Scaffolding has been erected on All Saints Church, Selworthy, and work has started on the mammoth task of lime washing the distinctive building, which stands as a beacon on the hills of Exmoor, and is one of the most visited parish churches in the West Country.
But because of a shortage of funds, only the side facing out across the hills is to be painted at first.
The other side will have to wait while more money is raised.
