Taunton Deane residents unable to travel to Edinburgh to lobby the G8 leaders at Gleneagles can join a demonstration in Taunton the same day.
Campaigners wanting to 'help make poverty history' should be at the front of the Market House in the town centre from 11am to noon on Saturday, July 2.
The get-together will be followed by a 'Local People's Summit', including a picnic, in Goodland Gardens from 1pm.
Alan Debenham, one of the organisers, said: "We're asking people to bring plenty of banners and colourful dress."
