POLICE in Taunton are appealing for witnesses after a woman was assaulted.
The attack is said to have taken place at 1.15am on Sunday, June 12, outside the Perfect Pizza take-away in East Reach when she was allegedly assaulted by a man.
She suffered extensive injuries and had to be treated at Musgrove Park Hospital.
Police are keen to speak to a black woman who may have witnessed the attack, and a 42-year-old local man has been arrested and bailed over the allegation.
