LIVES are being put in danger by motorists parking inconsiderately in an Ilminster street, it was claimed this week.
Not for the first time, South Som-erset District Council's refuse collectors could not get their lorry into Summerlands Park Drive due to cars parked at a bottleneck on either side of the street on Tuesday morning.
Aside from putting up with black sacks on their lawns for an extra day, residents are worried parked cars could prevent emergency vehicles accessing the street.
Resident Frank Down said: "I went out there at 9.30am and it was choc-a-bloc. If the dustcart couldn't get down, neither could the fire engine, and an ambulance would have been hard-pushed."
