A WORKMAN in a flat complex was threatened with a hammer by a resident.
Blackburn magistrates heard that when police arrived they found David Tucker heavily intoxicated but he didn't have the hammer.
Tucker, 54, of Wood Street, Darwen, pleaded guilty to being drunk and disorderly in a public place. He was fined £40 with £10 victim surcharge.
Susheela Regala, prosecuting, said officers asked Tucker to leave the property and not to return for a while. He left but came back after five minutes.
"This time he was told to leave and not come back for an hour and he responded by swearing and making threats of violence."
Tucker, who was not represented, accepted he had been drunk.
"The builder had been making my life hell over recent weeks," he said.
