A FURTHER six people have died in Somerset after contracting the Covid-19 virus in the latest 24-hour period.
Government figures show three people in Sedgemoor died of any cause within 28 days of contracting the virus.
Two people died of the coronavirus in Mendip and one in Sedgemoor.
There were no Covid-19 related deaths in Somerset West and Taunton.
A total of 361 have died in the county council area since the start of the pandemic.
Of those, 109 have been in South Somerset, 72 in SWT, 91 in Sedgemoor, and 89 in Mendip.
