THE company behind Toby Carvery has announced that some restaurant closures will be made across the UK.
No exact numbers have been confirmed as yet, but Mitchell & Butlers - which owns the brand - has said that some sites will be shut down following the Covid-19 lockdown.
It is understood that between 10 and 19 sites are to close, with the 'at risk' sites those which have yet to reopen after the first Covid-19 lockdown.
The Toby Carvery situated off the A358 at Ruishton, just outside of Taunton, is currently closed - but a message on its website says 'We can't wait to welcome you back'.
It is one of the restaurants which did reopen after the first lockdown - welcoming customers back on August 3 of this year.
That would suggest that the Somerset restaurant will not be one of the sites to close, but that is yet to be confirmed.
