A FIRE broke out at pub near Bridgwater yesterday evening (October 18).
Fire crews from Taunton and Bridgwater attended the incident on Market Way in North Petherton at 5.40pm.
A wooden beam above the fireplace had caught fire.
A spokesperson for Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue said: "The crew arrived and confirmed a fire in the wooden lintel and got to work using small tools and one hose reel jet.
"At 6.04pm the heavy rescue vehicle from Taunton was requested for the use of the acrow props.
"The wooden lintel was removed to outside and extinguished.
"The fire was confirmed out at 6.47pm and monitored using a thermal imaging camera."
