FIREFIGHTERS have been called out on a mercy mission to release a trapped cow.
The animal was stuck between two trees in the river at Muchelney Road, Huish Episcopi.
Fire crews from Somerton and Bridgwater attended the incident shortly before 7am this morning (Wednesday).
They released the cow using small tools.
