A BARN and its contents of straw and silage was severely damaged in a blaze yesterday afternoon (Wednesday).
Taunton Fire Station has issued photographs of the incident in the Churchstanton area.
Four engines and a water carrier were initially sent to the incident in the Churchstanton area at 12.31pm.
On arrival, crews confirmed a barn containing straw and silage was well alight and a further engine was sent to the scene, along with a telehandler, welfare unit, incident support unit and incident command unit.
Crews tackled the barn fire and also turned over straw in nearby fields.
Firefighters continued to dampen down and turn over to extinguish the fire into the evening.
