THE number of coronavirus deaths in hospitals in Cornwall continues to remain static after more than three weeks.
Wednesday's NHS England figures show 90 deaths, a figure that has not risen since June 2.
Yesterday the Office for National Statistics confirmed that deaths in all settings, including hospitals, care homes and the wider community, remained at 203, having not changed for a week.
As of Tuesday night there have been 594 confirmed coronavirus cases in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly out of a local population of 571,802.
Across England a further 51 people who tested positive for coronavirus (Covid-19) have died, bringing the total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals in England to 28,435.
Patients were aged between 48 and 96 years old. All patients had known underlying health conditions, NHS England said.
Their families have been informed.
There were no further deaths recorded in the south west as a whole.
