DOZENS of people have turned out to Vivary Park to show solidarity to the Black Lives Matter movement.
The socially-distant protest was planned for noon today (June 22) for the town to show their support.
The latest wave of Black Lives Matter protests were stemmed from the killing of George Floyd in Minneapolis, USA, who died after a police office knelt on his neck for nearly 9 minutes.

Protests have taken place across al 50 states of the US, and elsewhere across the country.
Taunton BLM wanted to join to show the town's solidarity to the movement, which calls for an end to police brutality and aims to tackle systemic racism throughout the world.
Organisers of the Taunton protest urged supporters to wear face masks, gloves, and to maintain social distancing amid the coronavirus pandemic.
During the meeting, Taunton residents came forward to speak about their experiences and their thoughts on what's happening in the world today.
A spokesperson for Taunton BLM said: "We felt the day was such a success and we never expected to be able to achieve such an amazing sense of community and strength.
"It was truly humbling to see so many people turn up with such passion in theirs hearts ready to come together and speak out."
