CAMPING and leisure retailer Go Outdoors could be set to appoint administrators as the coronavirus crisis continues to hit high street retailers hard, it has been reported.

The Sunday Times said owner of Go Outdoors, JD Sports, had filed a notice of intention to appoint administrators on Friday.

It will bring uncertainty to the 2,400 staff Go Outdoors employs at 67 stores across the country, including in Taunton, Exeter and Bristol.

JD Sports, which bought Go Outdoors in 2016 for £112m, has not responded to the report.
