FIREFIGHTERS were called to Glastonbury to tackle a fire in a compactor vehicle fire.
Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service were called at 7.22am today (June 6) to a yard in Glastonbury after receiving a call about a compactor vehicle on fire in a yard.
Crews from Glastonbury, Street, Bridgwater, and Yeovil were sent to the scene.
On arrival, the crews found the large vehicle well alight in close proximity to a building.
Firefighters used three breathing apparatus, two foam attack jets, and two thermal imaging cameras to tackle the fire.
Crews were able to maintain the fire to just the vehicle and extinguished it.
