A MAN has been arrested in connection with the discovery of a suspicious device in Penryn earlier this week.

Officers were called at around 11.10am on Tuesday after an item was found at the back door of Penryn Masonic Lodge in New Street.

A 20-metre cordon was put in place while police made door-to-door enquiries and a Royal Navy Explosive Ordnance team attended and made the device, believed to be an improvised incendiary device, safe.
