Quality cattle selling extremely well across the board.
Top price per kilo was a Limousin x steer from Mr. A.M.C. Eddy of St. Erth selling at 220p/kg to Chris Dale of Dales Family Butchers, Helston.
Heifers topped at 215p/kg and £1,189 for a 553kg Limousin x for Messrs. W.H. & L.M. Williams & Son of Allet to the same buyer.
Top value of the day and one of the highest prices seen in many months came for a grand 720kg Limousin x steer for Messrs. R, H.T. & R.M. Rowe of Gwinear at 203p/kg realising £1,462 to David King of Exeter.

Prices just keep getting higher with top cow this week a big 899kg Charolais x for Messrs. G.R. Hosking & Son of St. Buryan at 150p/kg she realised £1,349 to David King of Exeter.
Best pair from a super entry of South Devon cows for Mr. P.R. Weldhen of St. Columb achieved £1,260 (863kg @ 146p) and £1,251 (875kg @ 143p), both bought by David King.
Premium Friesian at 124p/kg for Messrs. A.D. & J.A. Bray of St. Martin and top price black and white a 845kg cow at 120p/kg realising £1,014 for Messrs. Mitchell & Downing of Carnmenellis, both bought by Dawn West Devon of Hatherleigh.

Trade remains extremely strong for all types on offer with plenty of demand around the ring.
A super entry of steers from Mr. W.A. Treloar of Perranporth sold to a top call of £1,255 for five 2yo Limousin crosses with a younger trio at £1,095.
Another 2yo Limousin pair for Messrs. W.S. Gay & Son of St. Allen hit £1,150, with his run of 14mo Limousin x heifers hitting £775 for three.
Another run of 2yo Devon crosses this week from Ivey & Hawkstor Farms of Blisland saw dearest four steers reach £1,040.
Steers at 14mo saw prices of £930 for top Simmental x from Mr. F.J. Moyle of Carnmenellis and a Hereford for Mr. R.T. Dunn of Menabilly achieved £910.
