Somerset-based Wyke Farms, the UK's largest independent cheese producers, have announced that Paul Hardwick will become chairman.
Paul has been with Wyke Farms for 30 years. He's a chartered accountant and has worked there as finance director, helping to guide the business and the Clothier family over the years.
Rich Clothier, third generation cheesemaker and managing director said: "Paul has a detailed understanding of the needs of the business, our people and our customers, he will help to provide the stability that we need in these challenging times."
John Clothier, second generation cheesemaker, has officially retired from his role as chairman. He has worked in the family business since childhood and has more than 70 years' experience of cheese making and the dairy industry. John will remain close to the company and step into an advisory role to help steer the family business.
Wyke Farms' cheese and butter is made with the milk from their cows grazing the lush pastures of the Mendip Hills in the centre of the Cheddar making region in Somerset.
