No further deaths related to coronavirus have been recorded in Cornwall's hospitals today.

The figures remain the same as yesterday, when an increase of one brought the total number of people to have died after testing positive for Covid-19 to 90.

Of these, 64 died at the Royal Cornwall Hospitals NHS Trust and 26 at hospitals run by the Cornwall Partnership NHS Foundation Trust.

The NHS England totals only cover deaths in hospitals, with the Office for National Statistics - which also includes care homes and deaths in the wider community - putting the overall figure at a minimum of 192.

As of yesterday evening there have now been 576 confirmed cases of coronavirus in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.

Across England today a further 179 people who tested positive for the coronavirus have died, bringing the total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals in England to 27,044.

Patients were aged between 12 and 97 years old. Four of the 179 patients - aged between 78 and 93 - had no known underlying health condition. Their families have been informed.

NHS England and NHS Improvement also report the number of patient deaths where there has been no Covid-19 positive test result, but where the virus is documented as a direct or underlying cause of death. Today, 31 deaths are reported under these circumstances.
