COUNCIL staff have cleared a large fly-tip in a Bournemouth car park as attempts are made to find the culprit.

The local authority was made aware of the rubbish on Friday morning and removed the items.

A BCP Council spokesman said the location has been a “very frequent” are for flytipping recently.

“We received a report of a large flytip in West Cliff on Friday, May 29,” said the spokesman.

“The council attended and removed all items from the scene.

“As with any flytipping event, efforts are made by the council and Dorset Police to track the culprit and enquiries are under way into this particular incident including reviewing any CCTV in the area.

“Unfortunately this location has been subject to very frequent incidents of fly-tipping recently so we would encourage anyone who witnesses suspicious activity to report it immediately.”
