THIS lorry driver was stopped by motorway police officers after being spotted reading from notes in his hands while resting his forearms on the steering wheel.
The HGV was travelling at 50mph on the M56 near Frodsham and was caught by officers using a bike-mounted video camera.
A NW Motorway Police spokesman added: "The driver was stopped, and issued a Traffic Offence Report (TOR).
"If you are on an essential journey please drive with care, paying attention to your surroundings.
"The potential consequences of a collision could be devastating.
"It is not worth putting your, or other road users lives at risk.
"We do not discriminate against any users on our roads - but if we see driving like this, we will act."
