Police have confirmed that a murder investigation has been launched in Falmouth after a man died in "suspicious" circumstances.
There has been a heavy police presence in the Old Hill area of Falmouth all day.
Emergency services have been in Tresawle Road, which was taped off.
Police refused initially to confirm the exact nature of the incident, but have now released a statement.
A spokesperson said: "Police were called to a residential address on Tresawle Road, Falmouth, shortly after midnight this morning, Tuesday May 5, following the death of a man in his 20s.
"Detectives from the Major Crime Team are leading the investigation and are treating his death as suspicious and as an isolated incident, at this time.
"Anyone who has any information which could assist the police investigation is asked to contact police on 101 or by emailing 101@dc.police.uk, quoting log number 12, 5/5/20.
"Alternatively, reports can be made anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.”
They have since confirmed that a murder investigation has been launched.
