THERE have been no new deaths in Somerset from coronavirus in the latest figures published today by Public Health England.
Overall in Somerset since the start of the outbreak 45 people who have tested positive have died in Somerset hospitals.
Each day the Public Health England publishes updated figures of new recorded deaths from Covid-19 in the nation's hospitals and in the figures released today (Friday, April 24), there are no new deaths recorded in Somerset.
Across the country a further 684 coronavirus-related hospital deaths have been reported in the UK.
It brings the total number of deaths in the UK up to 19,506 as of 5pm on today.
The total hospital deaths in the county are made up of 27 at Taunton and Somerset NHS Foundation Trust; three at Somerset Partnership NHS Foundation Trust; three at Weston-super-Mare; and 12 in Yeovil.
