HUNDREDS of people across Somerset stopped for a minute to show their gratitude to key workers.
People opened their doors and windows to take part in 60 seconds of applause during the Clap for Carers event yesterday evening (Thursday).
Staff at Musgrove Park Hospital took a brief break from their demanding jobs to join in.
Streets across the county were full of the sound of people putting their hands together to thank the nation's selfless workers helping us through the coronavirus crisis.
The second Clap for Carers minute was an opportuniy to show our appreciation for key workers, including NHS staff, emergency workers, teachers, cleaners, supermarket staff and delivery drivers.
Clap for Carers takes place every Thursday at 8pm.
