FIVE more people in Somerset have tested positive for coronavirus in Somerset in the past 24 hours, according to figures from Public Health England.
The latest figures for the county show that a total of 68 people in Somerset have Covid-19.
Across the UK, there are 33,718 positive cases, and 2,921 people have died.
A total of six deaths from COVID-19 have been recorded in Musgrove Park Hospital, Taunton and one death has been recorded at Yeovil District Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.
On Thursday (April 2) in a statement Yeovil District Hospital NHS Foundation Trust confirmed that a man in his eighties who had underlying health conditions had died after testing positive for the virus.
