PARKING charges across Taunton and West Somerset have been suspended by the council.
Somerset West and Taunton Council has confirmed it will not be charging people to park at its locations, in a bid to help key workers get to where they need to be.
But the message is clear - only use them if it is safe to do so, and avoid the town centres.

Council leader Federica Smith-Roberts said: "From March 25, we will be implementing no car parking charges.
"The reason behind that is, we want our key workers, those in the NHs, those in emergency services, to be able to use them should they need to do so.
"And for those that are out and about following that advice in regards to food, medication and exercise that the government gave out, to be able to use them - but only if it is safe to do so, following the latest PHE advice.
"Please don't come in to the town centre, unless you need to for that food or medication reason."
