An APPLICATION has been made to consider changing conditions on plans for the change of use a of a caravan park in Henlle, Gobowen.

Plans were submitted to Shropshire Council in November, 2019, to change from 12 caravan pitches and unlimited tent pitching to 13 static caravans for holiday use all-year around at Bridleway Caravan Park.

Permission for the change of use was granted last month but with objections raised by residents, as well as Selattyn and Gobowen Parish Council, who called for the caravans to be left vacant throughout February.

The objections are based on concerns that residents and owners of the caravans would use them as their year-round residency and feel that the park should be in line with others in the UK.

However, the application, by Mr R Roberts, is asking for the new variation to be dismissed as they feel it is 'inconsistent' with previous planning decisions.

Barnaby Harris, the agent acting on Mr Roberts's behalf, also states applying the condition would be detrimental to Bridleway's ability to compete with other static caravan providers in the area.

Mr Harris has submitted a new variation that requires contracts to prove holiday residence only.

Shropshire Council are yet to decide.
