MOTORISTS had a lucky escape after a tree fell in a busy Taunton car park.
Jill Pack witnessed the dramatic moment as a large section of tree feel in The Crescent car park.
Luckily, police were already at the scene as the tree fell around 5pm this evening (February 10).
She said: "A large part of a tree has broken off and fallen over a car park space. "It's very fortunately that a car, passenger or pedestrian was not harmed."
The county has been battered by strong winds as Storm Ciara has caused havoc around the country.
Emergency services have responded to a number of fallen trees causing issues for motorists through Somerset.

PSCO Sam Bushen said: "Currently dealing with a large fallen branch in The Crescent Car Park.
"Please be cautious of parking near any trees during this bad weather.
"This section of the car park is closed whilst tree surgeons do their work."
