A DRINK driver has been banned from the roads for 22 months.

Polish national Katarzyna Schmidt, aged 37, of Gilly Fields, Redruth, admitted committing the offence on December 30 at Hayle.

She was driving a Ford Fiesta when she registered 86mcgs of alcohol in 100mls of breath. The legal limit is 35mcgs.

She was also fined £300 and ordered to pay £85 costs and £32 victim surcharge.

A 45 year-old man has been disqualified from driving.

Adrian Philip Smith, of Rose, near Perranporth, admitted drink driving in Castle Rise, Truro, on December 29.

He was driving a VW Passat when he registered 77mcgs of alcohol in 100mls of breath. The legal limit is 35mcgs.

He was banned for 20 months and fined £300. He was also ordered to pay £85 costs and £32 victim surcharge.

A 59 year-old man has been banned for drink driving.

Robert Michael Leonard Taylor, of Little Beside, St Day, admitted committing the offence on December 28 in the village's Telegraph Street.

He was driving a blue Audi TT when he registered 48mcgs of alcohol in 100mls of breath. The legal limit is 35mcgs.

He was disqualified for 15 months and fined £210. He was also ordered to pay £85 costs and £32 victim surcharge.

A TRURO man possessed a knife in a public place.

Kelvin Anthony Pennington, aged 33, of St Thomas Close, admitted committing the offence offence on May 13 in Berry Road, Newquay.

He possessed a locking folding knife with a three-inch blade.

He was given a community order putting him under electronic monitoring for 12 weeks. He was also ordered to pay £85 costs and £85 victim surcharge.

A WOMAN has been fined for breaking a 30mph speed limit near Helston.

Sarah Louise Bale, aged 41, of Eglos Meadow, Mylor Bridge, admitted committing the offence on the A94 at Trewennack on July 5 in a Vauxhall Corsa.
