BUSINESSES and homes in BB1 might have weak or no water pressure.
United Utilities has said an issue was reported from Blackburn and an investigation is underway.
A water company spokesman said: "We’re sorry for the inconvenience and hope to have your taps flowing again very soon.
"We’ll provide further updates when we know more about what is causing the problem."
