A SOMERSET town has suffered a spate of criminal damage as eight different incidents took place over the festive break.

Damage was caused to a number of properties following a series of incidents in the Yeovil area.

Various shops and units were damaged on the Lynx Trading Estate, Houndstone Trading Estate, Ninesprings Café and the Vauxhall dealership on Summerhouse Terrace in the town.

Eight criminal damage incidents have been reported between December 17 and January 2.

The damage has consisted of smashed glass to unit and shop fronts and door.

Vehicles have also been damaged.
