AN INVESTIGATION has been launched after a motorcyclist was seriously injured in a crash in Taunton.
Police were called to reports of a three vehicle crash on the A3038 Kingston Road in Taunton at around 7pm on New Year's Eve (December 31)
The crash, which involved a motorcycle and two cars, closed Station Road and Kingston Road to traffic for a number of hours.
A motorcyclist was taken to hospital with serious injuries but they are not thought to be life-threatening.
A spokesperson for Avon and Somerset Police, said an investigation is being carried out into the circumstances of the crash.
“We were called to attend a three-vehicle collision on the A3038 Kingston Road in Taunton at about 7pm on Tuesday, December 31.
“The collision involved a motorcycle and two cars.
“The motorcyclist was taken to hospital with serious injuries, but they’re not life-threatening.
“An investigation is being carried out into the circumstances of this collision.”
