PERFORMING two shows, Andrew Riverstone is heading to Somerset this week.

Americana and blues/rock guitarist Andrew’s live set is a mix of hits from Tom Petty, JJ Cale, Neil Young, Jimi Hendrix, and original material in similar style.

He is a talented singer/ songwriter/ guitarist from North Devon, England. On completing art college, Andrew packed his guitar and suitcase and moved to London, where he quickly established himself as a versatile session guitarist, working in many top studios including Abbey Road.

He recorded with producer Gus Dudgeon (Elton John, David Bowie) and co wrote with Busta Jones from Talking Heads.

Andrew launched his solo career with roots rock album Discovery - a heartfelt mix of acoustic songs built on world percussion with atmospheric electric guitar.

The album was well received with extensive play on radio stations for the opening track Emily.

This led to shows across the UK and festival performances including Glastonbury, where he was filmed by MTV.

Andrew’s solo show has gone from strength to strength making great use of a loop pedal to layer percussion and guitar, creating a platform for emotive vocals and expressive lead guitar to take full flight.

He will be performing at the Hawthorns Hotel in Glastonbury this Friday (November 15) and at CICCIC Arts Centre in Taunton on Saturday, November 16.
