MINEHEAD’S Blenheim Gardens will be full of activity’s for a party in the park event on Bank Holiday Monday (August 26).

Organised by local volunteer group Gateway Events in partnership with Rotary Minehead, the day is expected to draw hundreds of people into the gardens and centre of town.

There will be lots of entertainment on offer as well as street food, competitions for children to make flying machines and free open top vintage steam lorry rides around the town.

The event takes place between 10am and 5pm and there will also be party games, live music, a children’s talent show, singalongs and even a family tug of war contest.

Bill Howard of Gateway Events said: “Events like these can only be made possible by the many generous sponsorships and prizes etc very kindly donated by many local businesses.

“The organisers would like to give a huge thank you to Minehead Town Council for their unstinting support, without which the event would have had to be far less ambitious.”
