A STRATTON man denies jumping another man on Hobley Drive last October.
Trishton Whyte, 18, of Ruskin Avenue, is said to have been one of three men who attacked another in Stratton.
Prosecuting, Tom Power said the victim had been punched, kicked several times and believed he had been attacked with a weapon. He had to be taken to hospital for treatment.
Appearing before Swindon Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday morning dressed in jeans and a grey tracksuit top, Whyte entered a not guilty plea to a charge he assaulted Martin Rae on October 21, 2018.
Whyte, representing himself, told magistrates: "I wasn't even there."
Magistrates bailed Whyte for the trial on November 25.
