A PUB in a historic part of Taunton has fallen foul of planners after putting up some signs without permission.
The Hideout, on Castle Green, installed the signs on the front and sides of the premises during a recent major refit.
Ashleigh Signs, which installed the signage, has now applied to Somerset West and Taunton Council for retrospective planning permission for the offending signs.
The application is for the "installation of replacement illuminated and non-illuminated signs (retention of work already undertaken)."
The Hideout closed early this year, then re-opened under new management before closing this summer for the refit.
It has been open again since the start of last month.
