A PAIR of mischievous sisters who set up a stall selling their mum's old underwear - without her knowing - have been rewarded for their initiative with a competition win.

Taunton pair Immi Fear, 10 and seven-year-old sister, Esme, were caught red handed by their mum, Laura, flogging her underwear during a house move.

The troublesome double act devised a cunning plan to make a bit of spare pocket money, selling a bra and a pair of pants for just 50p.

Laura submitted the photo to Jammie Dodgers’ recent ‘Sweet at Heart’ Facebook contest, which asked parents across the UK to share snaps of their kids getting up to hilarious, yet forgivable mischief.

Lo and behold, the underwear sale was rather successful, with Jammie Dodgers awarding the hilarious photo first place, winning Laura’s family a Center Parcs stay.

“I discovered the girls getting up to mischief, when I heard laughter through the open window," said Laura.

"I was taping up boxes, ready to move house and the girls had taken it upon themselves to go into my bedroom and swipe some underwear.

“My initial thoughts were laughter and to grab my mobile phone and take a photo.

"I looked out of the window and saw both girls wearing pants on their heads.

"When I asked Immi and Esme why they decided to sell my bras they simply said, 'because you said you had too many clothes to pack'.

And she said the win would provide some much-needed relaxation after the move.

“A three night stay at centre parks, could not come at a better time," Laura added.

"We are all exhausted from moving across the country, from Somerset to Yorkshire. A break away in October half term will be lovely for all four of us.

“Immi and Esme are delighted to be selected as the winner. They think they are famous now and are so excited to have won a holiday for us all.”

The Jammie Dodgers competition received more than 70 entries, with parents sharing images of their kids tipping out the freezer of veg, drawing on the floor, and covering themselves in talcum powder.

Kate Needham, Burton’s Biscuit’s marketing director, said: “Children can be naïve and sometimes outright cheeky when they create mischief.

"We felt Laura’s photo of her daughters selling off her underwear was a deserving competition winner. It really captured those moments all parents can resonate with, when they forgive their kids’ naughtiness because underneath, they know they have good intentions - or as we say – they’re ‘Sweet at Heart’.

“It’s been thoroughly enjoyable to see some of the playful, mischievous things kids in the UK get up to.

"Like Jammie Dodgers, we think a little mess and mischief adds to family life - when they're Sweet at Heart of course.”
