A BUSY road leading out of Taunton is set to be closed for 33 days. Trull Road will be closed from the Mount Nebo junction to the Belmont Drive junction from August 19.
The road closure is needed for Western Power Distribution to replace an electricity substation.
Works are expected to take around 33 days to complete.
Some motorists were left confused as a sign placed on the road stated the closures would only take place for five days, but Somerset County Council has confirmed the 33 day time period is correct.
A spokesperson for the council said: “This is essential work on Trull Road which is being undertaken by Western Power Distribution from 19 August to 20 September.
“The road will be closed between the Mount Nebo and Belmont Drive junctions during this time, and a diversion will be in place.
“We appreciate there will be disruption for residents and motorists while this work by WPD takes place and would advise drivers to factor possible delays into their journey times during this period.”
A diversion route will be in place.
