SPICE Girl Mel B has revealed she wants the super group to perform at next year's Glastonbury Festival.

The 2020 event will be the festival's 50th anniversary - and the star, real name Melanie Brown, says she wants to see the pop heavyweights on the Pyramid Stage, continuing their reunion after a tour this year.

"I don't want it (the reunion) to end," she told the Mail on Sunday's Event Event magazine.

"It was me who spent years and years nagging the rest of them to get back out there.

"Now we've done it, and we loved it. I'm going to make sure there will be more."

And in an extra boost to Spice Girls fans, she said she is determined to convince Victoria Beckham to take part.

"Victoria is Victoria. She didn't want to do it. She missed out," she added.

"But my plan is for all five of us to do Glastonbury next year for the 50th anniversary.

"I'm in the process of persuading Victoria to do it. And I will make it happen."

Glasto Gazette's view:

If we're already in Glastonbury prediction mode, this is a lively one to start us off...

The Spice Girls, love them or loathe them, are a huge act - and draw an enormous crowd wherever they play - and that would include at Worthy Farm.

For the 50th year, which will be a special festival, they could well be the sort of huge name in line for the Sunday 'legends' slot.

I could see this happening. Likelihood? Currently, I'd rate it around the 65% mark...
