FROM the Mendips to the Blackdowns, Quantocks to the coast, Somerset is the perfect place for a walk.
And what better than to take in a nice pub during the trek?
Now, thanks to a new book, you can easily find guides to a range of dog-friendly pub walks.
Somerset Dog-Friendly Pub Walks, by Paul Boobyer, details trips from one side of the county to the other, complete with detailed maps and guides to what to expect.
"This collection of tried-and-tested circular walks in Somerset, all between 1.5 and 7 miles, has been written specifically for dogs and owners, allowing for maximum off-lead time," said a spokesperson for publisher, Countryside Books.
Among the walks are trips to Brean, Glastonbury, Dulverton, West Hatch and Chew Magna.
They have all been compiled by dog lover Paul Boobyer, from Exmouth, who has combined his passion for photography, walking and of course, dogs, to write the book.
