DO you feel like being an archaeologist for the weekend?
Mick Aston’s Young Archaeologists and The Somerset Archaeological and Natural History Society are holding a family archaeology day on August 3 at the Museum of Somerset in Taunton.
The event marks the third year anniversary of MAYA (Mick Aston’s Young Archaeologists) which was formed in Somerset in honour of the late Mick Aston of Time Team fame.
Mick lived and worked in Somerset and was a great support of young archaeologists clubs. The club has been supported by Tony Robinson, Phil Harding and other members of the Time Team.
The event also includes a mini archaeological dig, information displays, face painting and much more.
The family archaeology day will be held at The Museum of Somerset in Taunton on August 3 from 10:30am. Everybody is welcome to this free event and no booking is required.
