RESIDENTS of Taunton have been given a warning to keep small children and pets inside due to a fireworks display tonight.
King's College in Taunton has taken to social media to issue a polite forewarning of the event, being held at the school's South Road site tonight (July 6).
A spokesman for the school said: "We would like to inform our local residents that there will be a fireworks display taking place on Saturday night to celebrate our Sixth Form leavers.
"This display is expected to last 20 minutes and will commence at 10.15pm.
"We are aware that fireworks may not be everyone's cup of tea, but as a school, we do not plan these types of celebration regularly.
"We want to emphasise that we do not mean to cause an inconvenience, and wanted to give you notice should you have small children or animals who may be disturbed by the fireworks."
