THANKS to a bus laid on by Somerset Wildlife Trust, members, supporters, volunteers and staff travelled to Westminster to meet with their MPs at one of the largest mass lobbies of politicians in recent history.

A total of 27 people made the journey on Wednesday, June 26, to line the streets joining thousands of people from around the country – from school children, young people and wildlife volunteers to farmers, councillors and doctors – urging MPs to back immediate action for wildlife and climate change.

David Blake, a researcher from Taunton, who travelled on the coach with Somerset Wildlife Trust said: “I joined the mass lobby today because I’m concerned about climate change and biodiversity loss.

“I think it’s important to try to encourage the government to not let us lose any environmental legislation after we leave the EU.”
