Cherry blossom is blooming in York as the temperatures soar
YORK is set to enjoy glorious Easter weather, with temperatures rising higher than in cities and resorts across the Mediterranean.
Forecasters expect York to see a maximum of 20C today, as high as 22C tomorrow and 21C on Easter Sunday, with long sunny periods.
In contrast, Ibiza will see light rain and a maximum of only 19C tomorrow, Athens will see a maximum of 17C, Malaga 19 C and Barcelona 18C, while Paphos in Cyprus will see 19C.
Day-trippers heading to the Yorkshire Coast will not enjoy as warm conditions as people in York, with a sea breeze keeping the maximum in Scarborough down to just 14C today, with 16C expected tomorrow and on Sunday.
