MAGISTRATES have imposed a community order on a 34 year-old man who drove whilst disqualified.

Daniel Lee Glover, of Boslowick Road, Falmouth, pleaded guilty to diving a Volkswagen Passat on Basset Road in Camborne on February 1.

He also admitted a second charge of driving without insurance.

The community order requires him to undertake a Rehabilitation Activity Requirement and to carry out unpaid work for 150 hours within the next 12 months.

He was also banned from driving for nine months and ordered to pay £135 costs and £85 victim surcharge.

* A DRINK driver has been banned from the roads for 16 months.

Stephanie Rachel Johnson, aged 27, of Kingston Way, Mabe, admitted being over the legal limit when driving on Treliever Road in Penryn on March 7.

She had 59mcgs of alcohol in 100mls of breath. The legal limit is 35mcgs.

Johnson was also fined £390 and ordered to pay £85 costs and £39 victim surcharge.

She also admitted possessing cannabis, for which there was no separate penalty.

* DRIVING without insurance has resulted in a fine for a Camborne man.

Tomas Grabys, aged 26, of Cameo Court, admitted committing the offence on the A30 between Tolvaddon and Avers on January 8. He also admitted driving without a licence.

He was fined £183 and ordered to pay £85 costs and £30 victim surcharge. His licence was endorsed with six points.

* DRINK driving has cost a Camborne man his licence.

Matthew Paul Roberts, aged 24, of Park Road, admitted committing the offence on March 22 in a silver Ford Focus on Dolcoath Road.

He had 45 mcgs of alcohol in 100mls of breath, with the legal limit being 35mcgs.

He was fined £165 and ordered to pay £85 costs and £30 victim surcharge. He was banned from the roads for 13 months.

* A 40 year-old man has been fined £357 for a speeding offence.

David Eric Hendra, of Melyn Close, Hayle, admitted exceeding a 70mph limit at Loggans on January 8.

He was also ordered to pay £85 costs and £35 victim surcharge. His licence was endorsed with four points.

* A DRIVER who permitted another man to drive a car without insurance has been fined by Bodmin magistrates.

Jonathan Scott Medlyn, aged 43, of Carew Pole Close, Truro, allowed Barry Jenkin to drive a Volkswagen Golf at St Erth on November 22.

He was fined £660 and ordered to pay £85 costs and £66 victim surcharge. His licence was endorsed with six points.

* EXCEEDING a 60mph speed limit has resulted in a fine for a Bissoe man.

Stephen Andrew Mellows, aged 54, of Helston Water, committed the offence on September 18 on the A30 at Launceston.

He was fined £220 and ordered to pay £85 costs and £30 victim surcharge. His licence was endorsed with three points.

* A 35 year-old man has been made the subject of a Drug Rehabilitation Requirement after admitting a string of offences.

Daniel John Worledge appeared before Truro magistrates on Monday to plead guilty to three theft charges and one of criminal damage.

The Newlyn man, of Gwavas Road, had a community order imposed for the following offences:

* On September 2 he stole four steaks to the value of £19.27 belonging to Co-op in Newlyn

* On November 9 he stole three bottles of alcohol to the value of £90 from Morrisons, Penzance

* On January 3 he stole four steaks to the value of £24.36 from Lidl, Penzance

He also had a Criminal Behaviour Order imposed for two years, prohibiting him from entering the shops from which he stole.

A fourth offence took place on December 3, when he damaged a bicycle helmet to the value of £100 in Penzance.

He was also ordered to pay £85 costs and a total of £137.86 compensation.

* A MAN who assaulted a woman and damaged a bedroom door has been given a community order.

Lee Bryn Williams, aged 42, of Agar Road, Illogan Highway, admitted committing both offences in Camborne on March 17.

Besides a Rehabilitation Activity Requirement, he also had a restraining order imposed, which prohibits him from contacting the victim for two years.

He was ordered to pay a total of £500 compensation.

* A 33 year-old from Camborne has pleaded guilty to drink driving.

Craig Michael Church, of Beacon Fields, committed the offence on March 22 in a silver Fiat Panda in Pool.

He had 62mcgs of alcohol in 100mls of breath. The legal limit is 35mcgs.

He has been disqualified from driving for 17 months and fined £346. He was also ordered to pay £85 costs and £34 victim surcharge.

He also admitted driving without insurance, for which there was no separate penalty.

* A TEENAGER has been banned from driving for 18 months.

Charlie Philip Mint, aged 19, from Hayle Terrace, Hayle, pleaded guilty to drink driving in Market Jew Street, Penzance, on March 24.

He had 73mcgs of alcohol in 100mls of breath, with the legal limit being 35mcgs.

He was also fined £120 and ordered to pay £85 costs and £30 victim surcharge.

* A WOMAN who failed to give the identification of a driver alleged to have committed an offence has been given a conditional discharge.

Chloe Estelle Easterbrook, aged 28, of Tressa Dowr Lane, Truro, admitted the charge.

SHe received a six-month conditional discharge and was ordered to pay £135 costs and £20 victim surcharge. Her licence was endorsed with six points.
