AT first glance, this looks like a scene from York's glorious summer of 2018, with people packing the riverside beer tables of Kings Staith in the sunshine.
But this picture was actually taken this lunchtime, on Saturday February 16, as York continued to enjoy mild, springlike weather.
Temperatures had already reached 12C at RAF Linton on Ouse by 1pm and they may rise a degree higher tomorrow, when more sunshine is expected although it will be breezy.
More mild weather is expected through much of next week.
It's all a far cry from this time last year, as the Beast lurked in the East, ready to bring sub-zero temperatures and snow to the city before the end of February.
