FORGET the royal wedding, here comes a REAL royal celebration - the fourth South West Model Engineering, Model Making and Hobbies Exhibition 2011 (SWMEE) will open its doors for three days from Saturday, April 30 to Monday, May 2 at the Royal Bath & West Showground.
Opening over the Royal Bank Holiday, this year's show is set to be even bigger with more displays, clubs and attractions.
Organisers have incorporated a new model railway hall as well as war gaming and modelling, while hobby enthusiasts will be able to see all the usual attractions as well as picking up bargains from the 200 plus traders exhibiting over four exhibition halls.
And with special guests including R2-D2 and K9, this is one event sci-fi fans won't want to miss.
The 2010 event attracted over 10, 000 visitors over two days, with visitors flocking from all over the UK to see outdoor flying model displays, remote control tanks, boats and cars, model railway displays, steam engines, funfairs and genuine Daleks.
