EXPLORING the history of the Great Enlightenment, Justin Newland is bringing his talk to Bridgwater next month.

Whatever Happened to The Great Enlightenment will discuss the secret history of the Great Enlightenment, the cauldron of ideas and how the event shaped the modern world.

Justin will also reveal how this period of history inspired his latest novel, The Coronation.

He writes secret histories in which real events and historical personages are guided and motivated by numinous forces.

He has also written other novels including The Genesis of Isis and The Old Dragon’s Head.

He gives library talks, does book signings in Waterstones, WH Smiths and indie bookshops and appears on radio and in literary festivals.

Justin Newland was born in Essex, England.

He now has a Doctorate in Mathematics and lives with his partner in the Mendip Hills.

Justin’s Whatever Happened to The Great Enlightenment talk will be at Bridgwater Library in Bridgwater on Thursday, April 30 from 6:30pm until 8pm.
